The Economy of Female Pleasure

EFPlong-01.jpg

In a world where sex and female sexuality are usually hidden behind closed doors, Lora DiCarlo and Cindy Gallop have fundamentally disrupted societal perceptions and pioneered innovation in Sextech.

Lora DiCarlo is the powerhouse founder and CEO of Sextech company, Lora DiCarlo. Backed by the likes of Cara Delevigne, in its first year, her company earned over 7.5 million dollars, and in 2018, won a coveted award from the Consumer Technology Association. When the robotics innovation award was later rescinded, it sparked a national reckoning on discrimination within the tech industry.

Cindy Gallop, the founder of the revolutionary social Sextech platform, MakeLoveNotPorn, is on a mission to celebrate “real world sex” and foster good sexual values and behavior. As a result of the funding challenges she faced, in order to get her own startup funded, she decided to get the entire category funded and is raising the world’s first Sextech fund, All The Sky Holdings.

During the conversation, moderated by Lisa Carmen Wang, Head of Brand and Communications at Republic (and former founder and CEO of SheWorx!), Lora and Cindy share their perspectives on the future of Sextech and highlight how they have created a movement to change archaic ways of thinking about sexuality, leveraged new innovation and made bold choices to capitalize on the economy of female pleasure.
